About Us

  • The idea behind L.U.S.H Valley was conceived in 1999 when a group led by Jean Dugal identified poverty and food security as issues that needed to be addressed in the Comox Valley. Sheila Gridlestone took the lead on what is now known as the Fruit Tree program.
  • Since registering as a non-profit society in 2000, L.U.S.H Valley has worked towards community food security through various initiatives. While Fruit Tree and Farm Gleaning remain core programs, L.U.S.H Valley has really grown!
