The Sarvajanik College of Performing Arts, known in the society by its abbreviation i.e. SCOPA, was established in June, 2010.

It was inaugurated on 8th October, 2010 by Sarita Joshi, an emminent actor of Gujarati and Marathi Theatre, in the presence of the then University vice-chancellor Dr.B.A. Prajapati.

The first batch of 27 students was admittted in June, 2010. Currently, in the academic year 2017-18, the total number of registered students in degree and diploma courses.
