Software Training Academy was created by a group of experienced software engineers back in 2002 in Silicon Valley North, an area located in the Toronto-Kitchener-Waterloo corridor. 

Waterloo is best known as the birthplace of smartphone maker BlackBerry, which, during its heyday in 2008, boasted a market cap of over $80 billion and nearly 20,000 employees.
