Welcome to Toronto, the world's most diverse city! Renowned for its multicultural vibe, hip neighbourhoods and gorgeous natural areas, it's truly a city for everyone.
There's so much to discover! Are you a fan of modern art? Check out the Frank Gehry designed Art Gallery of Ontario for its impressive collection, or go on an art crawl along Queen St West to see what our local galleries have to offer. History buffs can enjoy Old Toronto at the revived Distillery District, or if antiquity is your thing, the Royal Ontario Museum has one of the world's most famous displays of ancient artifacts.
Perhaps you'd like to sample some local food at the St Lawrence Market or the Evergreen Brickworks. Or maybe you fancy some quality eats and nightlife? Head down to Dundas & Ossington and spend the night in this up-and-coming neighbourhood teeming with hip bars, intimate live music venues and tasty eateries.
If fine dining is what you're looking for, try out King St. West for some of the best restaurants in the country, and catch an after-dinner flick down the street at the Bell Lightbox Theatre, home to the Toronto International Film Festival. Close by, get your professional sporting fix at the Air Canada Centre, home to the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA's Toronto Raptors, and next door at the Rogers Centre, for Toronto Blue Jays baseball games.
Even if modern city life isn't what you're into, Toronto has a number of relaxing natural escapes to complement the hustle and bustle. You can get away from the city without leaving the city! Head to Kew Beach for some fun in the sun, or if you really want to experience nature, take the ferry from Harbourfront to the Toronto Islands for a day of picnics, swimming in Lake Ontario, and even frisbee-golf!
