Course Details

This modular training program is for members operating any mobile crane with a lifting capacity of 0 to 8 tons including any of the following crane types: articulating (knuckle) boom, telescoping boom, radial boom derricks (RBDs), sign erectors, or carry deck industrial-type cranes.
This training program is a combination of in the shop and classroom training.

In order to qualify for this certificate, the operator/trainee must pass a demonstration of skills such as operating the mobile crane, rigging for safe hoisting, and demonstrating standard hand signals. When you have successfully demonstrated safe operating skills, members will be scheduled to go and challenge the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) written test. If successful, you obtain your Ministry Ticket for 0-8 Ton Mobile Crane Operator
