This full-time ( Monday to Friday) course runs for 1 year and covers all aspects of classical food preparation; cooking techniques and methods.
Our Advanced certificate students complete the first year of practical and theoretical training, covering both the level 1 and level 2 course syllabus, at our kitchens under the expert guidance of our chefs.
This course offers the platform from which our graduates can enter and thrive in a professional kitchen or diversify into other food-related industries. The certificate course is also the entry level requirement to continue with the Diploma course.

You’ll learn how to laminate an enriched dough to create croissants, pain au raisins and pain au chocolats. In addition, you’ll create a crisp and flaky sweet pastry and use it to create fruit, custard and frangipane tarts.
Diploma In Patisserie course is offered by Soweto Chefs Academy.
This programme is more specialised and provides in-depth knowledge of the Patisserie (Pastry).
An advanced course in French Patisserie
The Level 2 Diploma in Patisserie is for those who wish to work in the hospitality industry and specialise in Patisserie.
