This class is designed for inpatient and ambulatory nurses, monitor technicians, and cardiovascular lab technicians who use 12-lead ECGs in their clinical practice. This class will discuss:
the anatomy of a 12-lead ECG;
how ECG leads monitor electrical activity; and,
how to identify abnormalities such as ST elevation and depression, bundle branch blocks, and aberrancy.
Participants will practice with 12-lead ECG interpretation and developing a plan of care for a patient with a cardiac abnormality. Attendees should have a basic knowledge of rhythm recognition prior to attending.
