IIT Delhi Makerspace is a collaborative work space inside IIT Delhi Campus for making, learning, exploring and sharing knowledge using high tech to no tech tools. Makerspace is one of the pivoting units of the institute which teaches practically how a product comes to its present form by way of providing hands on training on basic tools as well as advance machines and equipments. It also provides prototyping support to the entire institute community.
The Makerspace is equipped with power tools, laser cutter, waterjet cutter, CNC machines, 3D Printers and more. It also caters to the fabrication needs of students doing product design and manufacturing courses, minor and major projects, B.Tech. projects, Master’s thesis work and doctoral research.
Large number of students use this facility to build products and compete at national and international level product building competitions like Formula student car mini Baja, Robocon etc.
Every person has to undergo equipment training before they can be permitted to use the machine. This is important for the safety of the user. Once training is done, Makerspace equipments can be utilized.
3D Printing is an Additive Manufacturing technique that creates a physical object from a virtual 3D CAD model by depositing successive layers of material.
3D Printing course is offered by MELT. Our courses are customizable as per the batch and students for the best outcome and learning experience.
3D printing is an amazing new technology enabling you to take a 3D digital designed file and with a click of a button, create a physical object. Utilizing additive manufacturing technology, creating in layers, 3D modeled designs are transformed into solid objects on demand.
Mechanical 3D printing enables the production of a batch of parts that are traditionally made of many components. But thanks to this cutting edge technology, you will be able to reduce assemblies and welding steps!
3D Printing Designing and Operation course is offered by Cadlab Institutions. We are veterans in mechanical engineering and we do training partnerships for central govt Institutions like MSME and state govt Institutions like SIFL.
