IIT Delhi Makerspace is a collaborative work space inside IIT Delhi Campus for making, learning, exploring and sharing knowledge using high tech to no tech tools. Makerspace is one of the pivoting units of the institute which teaches practically how a product comes to its present form by way of providing hands on training on basic tools as well as advance machines and equipments. It also provides prototyping support to the entire institute community.
The Makerspace is equipped with power tools, laser cutter, waterjet cutter, CNC machines, 3D Printers and more. It also caters to the fabrication needs of students doing product design and manufacturing courses, minor and major projects, B.Tech. projects, Master’s thesis work and doctoral research.
Large number of students use this facility to build products and compete at national and international level product building competitions like Formula student car mini Baja, Robocon etc.
