Established as an institution of higher learning in 1992, Nanyang Polytechnic's (NYP) academic schools offer quality education and training through more than 40 full-time diploma courses and common entry programmes.
NYP also has a full suite of continuing education and training (CET) options for lifelong learning, ranging from specialist and advanced diplomas, to SkillsFuture modules and courses.
NYP's Asian Culinary Institute and the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies are CET institutes set up in partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to champion and transform Singapore's F&B and retail sectors respectively.
A third NYP CET institute - the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning - also set up in collaboration with SSG, will spearhead the development of progressive workplace learning strategies and programmes for companies here.
Have you heard about 3D printing but are unsure about it? This introductory workshop is what you need. Â From mechanical spare parts to human organs, 3D printing can produce a usable replica of any object very quickly!
Three-dimensional (3D) printing is an advanced manufacturing method that ties in with Industry 4.0. With 3D printers, you can create prototypes and actual parts without the need for expensive tools or post processing.
Do you know 3-dimensional or 3D Printing is able to create endless possibilities -Spare parts, fashion accessories, medical equipment and even human organ? You will learn to create 3D models using Solidworks and it into a product using 3D Printing Technology.
3D Printing (also known as Additive Manufacturing) has taken the world by storm. Not only is it already providing current job opportunities, but in the future many more job positions will be created. Cost has dropped down to levels that even consumers can afford.
This course draws a roadmap for getting started with 3D printing from choosing a printer to learning about 3D modelling. You’ll also learn how to create, modify and repair designs so they’re ready to print, with various free software tools.
