Duration3D Printing Workshop is offered by Metis Nation of Alberta. Want to learn the ins and outs of basic 3D printing? Come test out Stanley Milner Library’s brand-new MakerSpace and meet other Métis youth! Staff from EPL will walk participants through the process of 3D printing by helping them design and print a small piece, which will be available to take home later!
In 1928, Alberta Métis began organized to advance Métis self-determination and self-government in the province, leading to the creation of the Métis Nation of Alberta. In November 2022, Métis Citizens overwhelmingly ratified a constitution to establish the Otipemisiwak Métis Government. In September 2023, the first election under the Otipemisiwak Métis Government Constitution was held. The Otipemisiwak Métis Government is now the government of the Métis Nation within Alberta and is recognized as such by the Government of Canada through a self-government agreement signed between the parties in 2023.
This course is for kids that are interesting in Design , Art and Robotics. We are using Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. Students will define basic 3D design functions and create models to design their prototype.
Two weekend introductory workshop to 3D Printing for Fashion. We will 3D model an fashion related item on the fist class and bring it 3D printed for the second class. We will also chat about different applications of 3D printing for the Fashion Industry and the different technologies out there.
The program focuses on mastering agile product design, product sculpture, and prototyping with 3-D printers and showcased in 3-D animations.
How to process your 3D file to use with the Ultimaker S5 filament printer using the Cura software. We look at: different filaments, 2 colour printing, printing with dissolvable PVA supports and variable density printing. We will even touch on printing with metal filaments.
