This instructor-led training course is engineered to assist employers in ensuring the competence of their workers. It is based on up to date legislation, CSA, Industry Standards and incorporates many industry best practices.
After successfully completing the program, workers will be able to safely operating an elevated work platform in the field. The course is a comprehensive study of elevated work platforms and offers instruction on areas such as (but not limited to):
Legislation and standards as pertaining to elevated work platforms
Pre-work planning and Inspections
Load limitations and calculations
Stability
Platform types
System components

Training Certificate
Upon successful completion of the training program, you will receive a training certificate that is valid for 3 years.
Pre-Requisites
Fall Protection training is a pre-requisite for Elevated Work Platform Training, you will be required to present proof of Fall Protection Training prior to attending this course.
Provision of government issued photo ID
Participants must be prepared with their own PPE including: Hardhat, Safety Glasses, and Steel-toed boots. ABCS will provide the required fall protection PPE (i.e. harness and lanyard).

Low, Medium & High Angle Rescue course is offered by DSC Safety Services.
Participants will gain the knowledge and understanding of health and safety and the law, workplace health and safety, workplace inspections and incident investigations. Participants will also gain an understanding of the function/duties of Safety Committee Representatives and Committee members.
This course provides students a basic understanding of forklift operation, maintenance and load handling. It will also cover relevant federal and provincial legislative requirements applicable to the workplace.
Developed by Enbridge and Union Gas, the course covers natural gas awareness, legislative requirements, connection of heaters to the gas meter and safe operating procedures for natural gas construction heaters up to 400,000 BTU's.
This safety training course is designed to meet Part 5 of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act.
