Abstract Figure Painting in Acrylic with Svetlana Trefilova will teach students how to create abstract human figure using different techniques such as traditional acrylic painting, negative space painting, lifting and loosing up method. They will create a storytelling abstract painting with figures in it. Students of all levels are welcome.
Acrylic paints (all colours that you have, plus black and white). If you do not already have paint – Chromacryl acrylic paint tubes or Reeves paints: Warm red, Cool red, Warm yellow, Cool yellow, Warm blue, Cool blue; 300 gsm paper (any brand), one A1 size or four A3 papers; Gloss acrylic medium; 1 canvas, deep edges (medium sizes); Visual diary, 2B pencil; A variety of flat brushes; A palette or white disposable plastic plates; Spray bottle; Hair dryer; Tissue or paper towel; Plastic container for water

Art classes at BiA are a relaxing way to explore your creativity. They are structured and instructive, but enjoyable and energizing at the same time. A wide range of subjects and skill levels are available. Numbers in classes are kept to a maximum of 12 so that the tutor has plenty of time to speak to each student individually, as well as teaching the group as a whole.
There is a great sense of community at BiA so many students continue with their classes term after term, sometimes in the same class sometimes progressing in skill level or changing subject. Everyone is welcome.

Learn how to draw illustrated scenes inspired by the style of Julia Sarda, from classic children’s stories such as: The Secret Garden, Anne of Green Gables, The Borrowers, Oliver Twist and The Hobbit. Listen to a small part of each story as you colour in your art.
