Are you looking for a career in the bookkeeping industry? Would you like a position such as "bookkeeper", "accounting technician", "administrative assistant", "accounting clerk", "office manager"?
Are you a dynamic, independent thinker who can combine "in-class" instruction over Zoom, with "independent self-study" and complete your bookkeeping certification by Christmas?
Our Accelerated Bookkeeping Certification Course goes above and beyond your average bookkeeping course that might be offered by "continuing education" programs in post-secondary schools, or self-paced study program such as "Udemy", "Linked-In", "Coursera" and more. In today's real world of software and automation, manually doing bookkeeping with "pen & paper" no longer exists - so why should you learn that way!
Today's software programs still use the same "traditional systems" behind the scenes, and it is crucial for you to learn them, but there is no need to put 40 hours of class time, into manually recording transcations on a piece of paper, or in a workbook.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT, is that you learn how to "see" and understand what happens "behind the scenes" as you work with today's accounting software programs. That's what our bookkeeping course teaches you!
Go beyond the "manual" bookkeeping courses offered in most schools, and learn Advanced Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online. Not only will you learn about Debits & Credits, Journal Entries & General Ledgers, Balance Sheets & Income Statements..., but you will also learn about many of Revenue Canada's rules & regulations related to bookkeeping, payroll, GST/HST, and more.
And what if you're an employer? How do you find qualified individuals with the right scope of training? Individuals that know how to think... to ask questions... to look for Facts instead of making Assumptions...?

Jacqueline started her accounting training so many years ago in Toronto through the CMA Program (Certified Management Accountant). When she returned home to Edmonton, she continued her studies through the U of A, & Athabasca University. She never completed her University degree, opting instead to marry, have children and focus on volunteer activites, while working part time in the accounting industry.
In 2001, she and her husband bought a piece of property which a powerful group of people, including the municipal government, tried to take a year later. Those people lost, but it was a complex, long, and difficult time, taking several years to finalize.
During that time, Jacqueline read and studied various pieces of legislation, including the Canadian Charter of Rights and municipal law. While her lawyer handled the legal case on the land, she handled a second case against the municipality herself.
A few years later, as a member of the Board of Directors of the IPBC (now called CPB Canada - Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada), she would use these skills to review the provincial legislations across Canada that regulated "accountants" and contributed to revisions of the by-laws for the organization.
In 2003, Jacqueline started her bookkeeping business and thanks to an accountant friend who referred a client to her, as well as networking and referrals, the bookkeeping business grew. During Covid, in an effort to help her clients reduce their bookkeeping costs, Jacqueline focused more on training clients staff on bookkeeping rules, regulations, and processes.
Today, Jacqueline continues to bring that dedication in knowing rules and regulations to her business endeavours in many ways. One comment she often makes is that business owners need to "delegate...not abdicate" the bookkeeping role. Knowing how to make sense of your financial statements, and look for obvious descripancies in the details helps to protect your business from fraud and poor decision making.
Jacqueline splits her time between the training business (JB Training Services Inc) and the bookkeeping business (Bernal Business Services Inc), where she is able to coach, mentor, and train business owners, their staff, and other bookkeepers to do the high level bookkeeping work which helps businesses... Learn * Grow * Prosper.
