Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery

This Access to HE course is for individuals who would like to apply to university to pursue a career in nursing or midwifery.

Our Access to HE courses in a range of subjects offer flexible learning opportunities for adults who are wishing to return to education, looking for a career change or don’t have the required qualifications to be accepted on to a university course. These nationally recognised Level 3 qualifications will also prepare you for higher-level study.

What will I achieve?

• Applicants must be over 19

• We would usually expect adult learners to have maths and English at Level 1 or equivalent,  although we will also welcome applicants with overseas qualifications and/or relevant life experience

The course will improve your academic, vocational and personal skills; it will also improve your CV and boost your confidence. Successful candidates will be awarded a nationally recognised Access to HE Diploma awarded by Ascentis. The diploma is approved by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and is accepted for entry to a wide range of universities and higher education institutions.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you must have a genuine interest in nursing and midwifery.
