Accident Investigation

Accident Investigation course is offered by British Safety Council. A short, tailored course allows you to build a one or two-day course that meets your business needs. You choose what you need and we deliver. We keep people as safe and healthy as possible in their work through education and practical guidance.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand the definition of an accident and a near-miss and the importance of investigation
• Understand the need to establish causal factors to assist in the prevention of recurrences
• Understand the roles of investigators, the safety officer and the HSE in various phases of an accident investigation
• Identify those who might be involved, affected or interested in an accident
• Recognise the importance of managing evidence and witness interview.
