Course Details

This course is an essential course for company accounting in Australia and New Zealand.

The purpose of this course is to analyse the specific functions of an AP/AR/Payroll officer in an Australian business practice through classroom learning and simulation.

At the end of this course, students will combine the information and data of real companies to understand all the skills required for an entry-level junior accountant role.

The course content is divided into five sections according to the job function and work assignments. In the first session, we will introduce accounts payable, and help students comprehend company operation and related accounting procedures; The second session will focus on accounts receivable, sales process and bank reconciliation; The third part will be an in-depth study of payroll, superannuation, PAYG withholding tax, and Payroll Tax processing, followed by the fourth part which will include an introductory tutorial to Company BAS and IAS processing, financial reporting will also be included in this session.

This course adopts the method of small class teaching, mainly including topic discussion, real case analysis and simulation scene operation. It focuses on cultivating students’ critical thinking skills, logical analysis skills, and summary reporting techniques.
