Acrobatics is a dance style that combines both gymnastics with dance. Acrobatics is a form of dance that requires great coordination, flexibility, balance, and strength, ongoing practice, and diligent training.
Our classes usually start with a cardio warm up, followed by stretches and strengthening, this would then lead into set time to work on their skills (tumbling or limbering), then to choreography, and finishing with a cool down.
Our students love our acrobatic classes as they are able to learn skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, aerials, walkovers, and backflips.. Our classes are fast paced and very enjoyable.
We offer acrobatic dance classes to children of any experience level, from 7 to adults. Our students work vigorously towards our mid year and end of year concert.
All of our acrobatics teachers have been trained under Acrobatic Arts and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Jess Dance Academy offers a range of dance classes for students of all ages and abilities. Located in Marleston, Adelaide, Jess Dance Academy has state of the art facilities, including, two studios both equipped with sprung tarkett flooring, air conditioning, inbuilt sound system, barres, and mirrors.
We offer a range of genres, including; Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Funk, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and Song and Dance. All classes are performance based as students are encouraged to participate in our mid year demonstration and end of year performance.
Our concerts are a great way for students to improve their performance skills and build confidence. We are always looking for performance opportunities for our students, in previous years we have been lucky to be apart of the Credit Union Christmas Pageant, Competitions (CanDance, SASDS, SA Dance Competitions), OLOG Spring Fair, and other fundraising events.
The Acrobatics class is a fun dynamic lesson based on the current style of today’s gymnastic lifts & tricks. With the class being conducted by teachers who are currently in the professional dance arena.Â
Acro classes use mats & teachers help in aiding students to do tricks.
You’ll see your child learn basic acrobatics tricks and how to support their own weight.
Our Acrobatics Academy is an exclusive training program for budding acrobats. Class sizes are small and strictly adhered to. Students have the opportunity to work closely with world champion coach in a safely monitored environment.
