You will learn how to be able to perform a professional set of Acrylic nails in a safe and hygienic manner. You will gain experience in carrying out a consultation with your client and understand the knowledge of why this is an important part of your treatment.
You will gain understanding of how to ask relevant questions to make sure you get what your client wants right first time. You will learn to detect reasons the treatment may not be suitable and what to do in this instance.
You’ll learn about the benefits of Acrylic Nails over other nail enhancements, the importance of correct liquid to powder ratio and about the chemical background of acrylic.
You will also learn about the Importance of placement and structure when applying and to be able to give detailed helpful aftercare. Finally you’ll learn about the equipment and tools used and understand the products needed to make your treatment relaxing for your client. We will also teach you about acrylic overlays, infills and removals.

Nova Nails Glasgow was born by me. The owner and senior nail tech of 6 years Jaki. I started my nail career in 2016 from my living room taking over it on evenings and weekends while working full time in finance taking this opportunity to gain experience and a reputation.
I took a plunge to quit my job and go full time as a nail technician in 2018 and never looked back. Since then Nova Nails Glasgow has grown into a bustling and busy nail salon who have built a great reputation in Glasgow.
In 2020 Nova Nails took another risk during the global Covid-19 pandemic and are proud to now have our very own nail salon in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
During lockdown I also used the spare time to expand my qualifications and has now gained A Level 3 award in education allowing me to training and qualify others in nail treatments. In April 2021 Nova Nails Training Academy doors open to provide accredited training to other budding nail technicians.
Nova Nails Glasgow have also now developed their own range of nail care focusing on cuticle oils, that hydrate and repair damaged skin and nails. Our brand Nova Nails Essentials are focused on providing fun nail care that smells amazing and shows results fast encouraging you to want to use it more!
Our oils have been chemically assessed and approved by the UK portal of cosmetics and are also safety assessed. You can purchase them from our shop page here or pick up one in salon.

This combined Manicure and pedicure course is designed for beginners and existing beauty therapists.
A manicure and pedicure are beauty treatments for the hands and feet, respectively. These treatments involve various steps and techniques to enhance the appearance and health of the nails, cuticles, and skin.
Add this treatment to your menu and help your clients grow their natural nails! Give extra strength and protection to natural weak brittle nails or for those that don't want acrylics or don't have the time to sit and have acrylics.
Professional Manicure & Pedicure course will cover correct nail care of the hands and feet, including filling, shaping, cuticle work and relevant massage.
This course will provide you with theory and practical skills required to provide your clients with the perfect manicure. A follow up assessment will be organised 4 weeks later by our team of qualified teachers, to ensure you have acquired the necessary skills with confidence.
