This course is 6 to 8 hrs in length and The purpose of this training session is to present industry training requirements to ensure correct utilization, safe and efficient operation of Forklift in order to reduce incidents in the field.

After successful completion of this training material should ensure that participants have sufficient knowledge to safely operate a Forklift and meet Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) requirements and CSA standards regarding Forklift operations. This training will be broken up into the following learning objectives:

ANATOMY AND COMPONENTS

Interior, Operator’s Manual, Capacity, Labels, Cab Floor, Seat, Belt, Controls, Brakes, Exterior, Chassis, Frame, ROPS/FOPS, Tires, Lights, Mast, Forks, Attachments, Counterweight, Engine Check, Liquid Propane, Gas, Diesel and Batteries

 

STABILITY

Center of Gravity, Stability Pyramid/ Stability Triangle, Dynamic Conditions and Attachments
