The Administrative Professionals Program creates a community of learning for Emory’s administrative staff, enabling them to build professional relationships and make meaningful contributions within their careers. The program is designed to develop and enhance skills within a cohort group of up to 25 participants representing different departments across the university.

Any full-time employee of Emory University in an administrative role would benefit from this program:

  • Administrative Assistant

  • Program Coordinator

  • Secretary

 

Program Goals

The goals of the Administrative Professionals Program are to:

  • Enhance those skills that support employee development as well as the strategic vision of the university

  • Develop new skills that meet the demands of successful office management

 

Curriculum

Program sessions will focus on the following themes:

  • Organizational Knowledge: Gain knowledge about university policies and systems.

  • Competency Building and Strengthening: Develop and refine skills that are key to your ability to perform their current jobs.

  • Self-Awareness: Gain awareness of your own personality, values, work styles and strengths.

  • Professional Development: Learn skills that will enhance your job performance and personal growth.
