The Administrative Professionals Program creates a community of learning for Emory’s administrative staff, enabling them to build professional relationships and make meaningful contributions within their careers. The program is designed to develop and enhance skills within a cohort group of up to 25 participants representing different departments across the university.

The goals of the Administrative Professionals Program are to:
Enhance those skills that support employee development as well as the strategic vision of the university
Develop new skills that meet the demands of successful office management
Curriculum
Program sessions will focus on the following themes:
Organizational Knowledge: Gain knowledge about university policies and systems.
Competency Building and Strengthening: Develop and refine skills that are key to your ability to perform their current jobs.
Self-Awareness: Gain awareness of your own personality, values, work styles and strengths.
Professional Development: Learn skills that will enhance your job performance and personal growth.
ECE offers a wide range of certificate programs and open enrollment courses (including fully online and hybrid options) for both professional development and personal enrichment. Areas of focus include emerging technologies – artificial and business intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity – as well as management fundamentals, information technology (IT) and graphic design, communications, Human Resource (HR) and project management, lean six sigma, academic and professional test preparation, health coach, English as a Second Language (ESL), and many more.
ECE’s Corporate Learning unit customizes course curricula and delivers both individual classes and comprehensive learning tracks directly onsite to a variety of clients across the country, including Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, and school systems.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Emory extends lifelong learning via courses designed for adults ages 50+ who wish to stay mentally and physically active. The program boasts more than 1,300 current members while offering educational, cultural, and social programs that nourish the mind, body, and soul. Emory Continuing Education is a division of Emory Academic Innovation.
