It’s used to communicate your design idea technically – whether that’s to a pattern-maker, technical designer, merchandiser, or factory. Garment flats are also required for tech packs (technical packages) or fashion design portfolios.
At the end of the course, the student will have created a foundation library of flats or sketches that can be manipulated into other designs for future work.
