Upon completion of this 2-day course, students will be able to:
customise the interface to suit different tasks and projects
set up a project – import and organise media
perform editing essentials – including working with the timeline, clips & markers; adding transitions; trimming & nesting clips; and putting motion in clips.
edit and mix basic audio soundtracks and narration/voice-overs
correct colour
add video special effects
work with multiple layers
create titles
manage simple video projects
output to a range of different industry standard file formats.
Adobe® Premiere Pro CC 2020 will be used in class. It is much less applicable to earlier versions of the software.

This introduction to Premiere Pro CC’s essential tools is designed for students who are new to the program. You will be guided step-by-step through industry standards for video editing and video effects.
Video editing is the art of assembling video, audio, images and titles into a cohesive sequence that tells your story and the last part of the video production process.
The Premiere Pro short course explores the fundamentals of video editing from beginning to end. The philosophy of this course is sharing the key to editing, getting in touch with your own instincts and knowing how to translate those feelings into engaging content.
In the introductory Premiere Pro training course, you’ll learn the skills and techniques to organise, edit, and export video projects in a variety of formats.
