Course Content Practical Training

This full day practical course is split into 2 sections: 

To begin, we will recap on all things theory which you will have studied before attending your session. We will then move onto the application of theory through practicing your technique on equipment simulating a real person.

We will focus on a range of topics to embed the venepuncture procedure, with a particular focus on patient comfort and best practice.

Learning Outcomes

Once the course is complete, you will leave with the confidence required to be a competent phlebotomist.

• Successfully perform the full phlebotomy procedure on dummy arms.

• Demonstrate awareness of improvements to your own clinical performance and reflection.

• Be able to assess and provide feedback to other participants on their technique and discuss potential improvements to practice.
