We at Carisma Dance & Fitness want Tap classes to be interesting, innovative, technically challenging and fun.
Tap dance was created from a fusion of European and West African cultures evolving through many eras to the tap that we know today with metal plates screwed to the soles of the shoes to create the iconic “tap” noise.
Emphasising the development and strengthening importance of rhythm and sound, Tap is encouraged for students who do not learn a musical instrument With intricate footwork, requiring dexterity and concentration, the dancer's rhythmic patterns creates percussive sounds.
Students will learn from the PDA Unique Technique Syllabus. It is great for all ages and develops strong tap technique with expression, challenging rhythms and sounds.
