Advanced Electrocardiography (ECG)

Canadian Cardiovascular Training Center has created this course collection to improve your confidence in ECG skills and interpretation. It includes the basics from anatomy and physiology of the heart to recording an ECG and understanding a normal trace. 

Upon completion of our Advanced ECG course you will be able to set up, prepare and interpret basic ECG studies. This is a crucial fundamental skill in a Cardiac care setting and is one of the most common tests used by Cardiologists daily.

Your certificate in Advanced ECG will advance your skillset and career, further opening new opportunities for employment within the cardiac health care industry.

Prerequisites

Students looking to enroll in our Advanced ECG program must first meet the following prerequisites:  

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent OR  
• Mature Student Status (18 Years of age or older)  

And

• Successful Completion of Entry Assessment Test  
• Successful Personal Interview.  

Additionally, students need to have the following before the start of the program:  

• Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector screening checks  
• Immunization record as per the program requirement

Duration

Our Advanced ECG course running from Spring 2023 - Fall 2023 has 40Hrs of theoretical learning with an additional 20Hrs practical learning within a clinical setting.
