Advanced Food Safety course certifies trainees to own, operate or supervise a food service establishment.
Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:
Advanced Food Safety is an Entry-Level course aimed at managers and supervisors of food establishments. Trainees develop advanced safety management skills and learn to manage food safety hazards holistically. (Please note that Basic Food Safety Training is NOT a prerequisite.)

This 2-day Advanced Food Safety Training Course is offered in-class. It covers federal and provincial safety regulations, safe food handling procedures and the causes of food-borne illness.
This course also discusses risk management, policy implementation, as well as training and managing employees. Participants learn how to maintain equipment, control pests, purchase and receive products, as well as deal with regulatory agencies and health inspections. Trainees must pass a written exam to obtain their certificate.
