Course Description
This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge to perform rigging work at an advanced level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic and intermediate levels, and also includes rigging of gin poles and shear legs, flying foxes and cable ways, guyed derricks and structures, and suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds for licensing purposes.
Learning Outcome
Obtain an Advanced Rigging license by understanding and complying with relevant jurisdictional laws and standards.
Plan and prepare rigging operations, select and inspect equipment, and safely rig and position loads using advanced techniques. Coordinate crane operations, calculate load capacities, and promote workplace safety.
Supervise rigging activities, inspect and maintain equipment regularly, and ensure compliance with safety protocols for efficient and secure operations.
Outcome
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a High-Risk Work Licence (class RA) will be issued through the WHS authority in your jurisdiction. (SafeWork/WorkSafe)
