The areas of work include directing, screenwriting, film editing, foley production and on location film-style shooting. Optional fee for enrichment materials-$30.There will be an emphasis on production for competition.
Students will enter such adjudicated events as the Zoom Fest 24 hour film festival, Coastal Health Smoke PSA contest, the WorkSafe Video Contest and the BC Student Film Festival.
Rockridge School is located in the municipality of West Vancouver which is situated northwest of the city of Vancouver. We are located directly across from Caulfeild Village Mall on Headland Drive. Easiest access is via Exit #4 from Highway 1.
The school community includes families from the areas of Bowen Island, West Bay, Caulfeild, Gleneagles and Lions Bay, but we also have students coming to Rockridge from around the world.
Rockridge students are encouraged to get involved in activities and events that interest them.
The school has traditionally offered an extensive sports program which includes rugby, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, golf, soccer, cross-country, mountain biking, wrestling, ski & snowboarding, and track & field.
Since opening in September of 1996, Rockridge has won many North Shore Championships and Vancouver and District Championships.Rockridge School also excels in the performing arts.
The school has programs in the following departments: Home Economics, Information Technology, Technology Education, Performing Arts including band and drama, and Visual Arts.
Our school also participates in the International Education Program. Students from other countries live with local residents, attend school and participate in extra-curricular activities.

Graduating students will be participating in 4 workshops: Filmmaking, Acting on Camera and Photography, creating memorable movie (Flash-mob on their favorite song) and making pictures for their own scrapbooks.
Small class sizes provide focused, individualized training and plenty of one-on-one time with industry-professional instructors, building your artistic strength and awareness through real experience.
By the end of the course you will apply these skills to create your own 3-5 minute film in any style: documentary, experimental or narrative.
In 12 months you will graduate with A diploma in Film Production
