Aerial Boom Lift

This course is for a student whom has zero or minimal experience operating an Aerial Boom Lift (Self-Propelled Boom Supported Elevating Work Platform).

• Reference to applicable CSA Standards.

• Operator responsibilities.

• Manufacturer specifications for the equipment being trained on.

• Hazard and Risk Assessment for operating the equipment safely in the workplace.

• Safe approach limits to energized equipment and power lines.

• Hand signals and working with a spotter.

• Equipment purpose and limitations.

• Equipment stability and working envelope.

• Equipment preventive maintenance practices.

• Equipment inspection criteria.

• Equipment transport.

• Emergency lowering procedures.

• Rescue planning.
