Aerial lifts / Scissor lifts are work platforms used to safely move workers vertically and to different locations in a variety of industries including construction, retail, entertainment and manufacturing.
Scissor lifts are different from aerial lifts because the lifting mechanism moves the work platform straight up and down using crossed beams functioning in a scissor like fashion.
Accidents occur on Aerial lifts/ Scissors lift each year due to falling from an elevated level, objects falling on them or coming their way, structural failures. electrocutions etc, due to no or inadequate safety measures.
Only trained and authorized persons should be allowed to operate an Aerial lift or Scissors lift. We train operators and workers and make sure they acquire the capability to recognise and avoid unsafe conditions in the work setting and to follow the instruction associated with the machinery.
They are also taught to deal with hazards like electrical, fall, and falling object. Our training is not only contained within the classroom but includes demonstration and practical training.
Safety & Health management is an essential part of an organization’s responsibilities, as it highlights the company’s commitment to the welfare of its employees, according to the National Safety Management Society. Peter Drucker, a well-known management consultant remarks, “The first duty of business is to survive and the guiding principle of business economics is not the maximization of profit, but the avoidance of loss.”
We at PHSC believe that Safety Management is a strategic process that identifies and addresses safety issues for the employees and the company. Besides being a pre-emptive and preventive process, it also corrects deficiencies as well as performance errors.
The concept of continuous improvement is key to our quality policy. The idea is to begin with a basic program and simple goals and grow from there. We assure you, if you focus on achieving goals, monitoring performance, and evaluating outcomes, your workplace can progress along the path of higher levels of safety and health achievement.
