Course Details

Training Requisite:

The operators are obligated to be trained on the equipment, usage, inspection and identification on potential risk (CSA B354.2-01 – Article 7.1)

 

Assessment:

  • To differentiate the principal elements that are required in the operation of the equipment,

  • Inspection before usage;

  • To describe the functions and characteristics specific on the equipment;

  • To detect any defects likely to influence the correct operation of the equipment;

  • Risk factor associated with aerial work ;

  • Complete understanding of the name plate;

  • Usage of harness

 

Time Frame:

  • 3.5 hours of theory (depending on the type of equipment)

  • Practice evaluation performed in the work environment (evaluation of approximately half an hour per candidate)
