To equip practitioners with the necessary skills and knowledge for proficiency in dental photography.

Objectives

  • Explain the purpose and advantages of photography in dentistry

  • Identify the importance of photography consent and storage considerations

  • Identify the main camera components and their accessories

  • Become confident with the camera settings that should remain constant as well as those which require adjustment

  • Understand what settings are best use for different dental situations, portraits, smile videos, retracted views and intramural/procedural shots

  • Appreciate the importance of lighting and manipulating your light source

  • Learn the standard view needed for basic procedure documentation as well as those needed for academic accreditation

  • Understand polarising photography, shade matching and lab communication

  • Studio and Portraiture photography

  • Artistic photography

We are advise bringing your own camera set up for an enhanced learning experience. We will have spare set ups on the day for delegates who do not have access to their own.
