Agile Foundation & Practitioner Training is a four-day course which provides the detailed knowledge in the Agile Project Management (AgilePM®) framework to the delegates.

It involves foundation level summary to the framework and a detailed awareness of Practitioner level. Participants will get skilled lecturers with wide experience in the practical application of project management. The Scrum Framework is not covered in this course.

Overview

Agile project management is a management methdology used to manage projects while implementing them. The course introduces the delegates to various concepts of the Agile® methodology. These include:

  • Iterative development:Weak areas can be made stronger by constantly focusing on them using the iterative development technique.

  • Detection and resolution of problems:Managers can detect issues in the processes and resolve them using the Agile® methodology.

  • Encouragement of team members:Encouragement is important in boostingthe productivity of an organisation. Encouraging team members leads to a better performance by them and helps in achieving the team’s goals.

  • Agile Principles:To attain efficient project delivery, managers must implement Agile® principles in their completeness.

Practitioner Exam:

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • An Overview of Prioritisation and Timeboxing

  • Lifecycle Planning and Controlling

  • Key practices of Iterative Development, Facilitated Workshops, Modelling and Prototyping

Practitioner Preparation

  • Roles and Responsibilities of a Project Manager

  • Lifecycle of an Agile Project Management (AgilePM®)

  • The Operational Use of the Products

  • Delivering on Time - Conjoining Moscow and Timeboxing

  • Requirements and User Stories

  • Estimating of the whole process

  • Project Planning throughout the Lifecycle

  • Quality of Project

  • Identifying Risk Management

  • Tailoring the Approach

 

Prerequisites

  • The participants should be aware of the APMG Terms and Conditions of Certification which can be found on the APMG International website.

  • Participants must carry an approved photo ID (passport, driving license, and student card) on both APMG exams. The identity proofs will be checked by the invigilator before the exam.

 

Target Audience

The Practitioner course is designed for those candidates who wish to have a management or leadership role in an Agile project. Participants, who require applying to the DSDM Project Management framework in a business environment, should attend this course.

Participants are expected to have the skills of team leading, Project Management, or Project Assurance/Support.
