Discover Sign Language will teach you how to sign basic phrases and complete sentences and how to put it all together, allowing you to introduce yourself and start a conversation.
Along the way, you will learn signs for colors, numbers, locations, family, and the activities you like to do. Throughout the course, you will learn by watching videos that demonstrate how to make the signs and how to incorporate facial expressions to communicate in this beautiful language.

More than a million people in the United States speak American Sign Language. If someone you love can’t hear well, that’s a great reason to learn ASL. You’ll be able to communicate in a meaningful way with hard of hearing or deaf individuals in the US.
Perimeter College offers beginning- through intermediate-level classes in American Sign Language. Students on a guided pathway in American Sign Language can earn an associate of arts degree.
American Sign Language classes are offered by International Language School. We have experienced and passionate teachers who go beyond teaching grammar and communication to help students appreciate and value the language, culture, and history of the countries they are learning about.
Our ASL program introduces basic production and comprehension skills, including spelling and numbers. You will develop your conversational ability and be introduced to ASL grammar.
