The Diabetes awareness course provides learners with an understanding of diabetes and the effect it can have on an individual’s health and lifestyle.
The course creates an understanding of the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes and how to recognise the signs and symptoms of the condition. Learners will gain the knowledge and skills to effectively care for and support individuals to live well with diabetes.
Assessment
Learners must demonstrate a willingness to learn and participate in all group activities, case studies and group discussions.
Certification
All learners will receive a certificate of completion
