Our anger management courses believe that the way we handle anger is a learned behaviour...that our anger expression comes out of our anger experience.
Our anger management courses believe that the way we handle anger is a learned behaviour...that our anger expression comes out of our anger experience.
There are generally good, understandable (though not acceptable) reasons for handling anger in a way that intrusive to others and/or damaging to ourselves...we work to have participants understand their own behaviour, and develop good strategies that help them to be the person they truly know themselves to be.
Our anger management programs are collectively referred to as "TDC--Turning Destructive into Constructive".
Seeing a counsellor usually is not most people's idea of a great time. Before seeing a therapist, a person has often been mulling it over for a long time... sometimes they've had someone pushing them into it for some time (never a comfortable position for either).
In most situations concerns around what a person doesn’t know can be the biggest hurdle to scheduling an appointment.
Things like who to see, what it will be like, if they will be undertstood, if they will be pushed too hard to talk about issues that are too personal or painful – let us assure you – Conexus Counselling will work diligently to alleviate all of these concerns starting at the moment you call or email us.
One day workshops (7hrs) are offered for both men and women over the age of 18 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The course is aimed toward those who wish to learn more about their emotional response and change destructive expressions of anger into positive behaviours.
Done with anger one-day intensive and weekly anger management classes teach you how to communicate assertively and clearly express your needs without stepping on the needs of others.
