About Us
Who Are We?
The Well Counselling is a team of qualified and trainee counsellors, providing support for clients of all ages and backgrounds. Founded in 1993, we are part of the Lyttleton Well.
We believe in supporting the emotional, mental and spiritual well-being of our clients and work with anyone over 18, regardless of financial status, gender, religion, sexual orientation, race, colour or ethnic origin.
All of our counsellors, supervisors and students are bound by the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and all belong to professional counselling bodies.
We do not offer Christian Counselling at the Well, but we are a Christian Organisation, with a Christian ethos, supported by Malvern churches together.
Clients come recommended to us by their GPs, as well as word of mouth recommendations from previous clients, friends and family. Many our clients find us online, via our website.
We are proud to have won the Improving Lives Award at the Pride of Malvern Hills Community Awards 2020.
We are all capable of getting angry – it is a normal, usually healthy emotion. But when it gets out of control it becomes destructive and can lead to all sorts of problems.
This course equips delegates with a basic understanding of what anger is, and the practice tools required to intervene effectively, therapeutically and safely when a person is angry.
Violence and aggression are extremely unpleasant and worrying for most people. We therefore want to feel able to deal with it if the need arises. Moreover most employers now realise their responsibility in equipping their workforce with appropriate training.
The overall aim of the personal development workshop is to build an awareness/understanding of the important of these key areas. The common thread can get overlooked when the sessions are taught as one day each so here is a chance to explore them at an accessible level.
