Would you like to work with animals? This training will take place, in part, in a company and will allow you to practice the profession of animal keeper.

Your duties will be to meet the basic needs of the animals and ensure the cleaning of equipment and facilities.

Animal handlers may be called upon to work in pet stores, veterinary clinics, wildlife organizations and institutions (including zoos), animal welfare societies, pounds, animal production farms, grooming companies, rehabilitation centers as well as institutions that offer pet therapy services.

This training leads to an attestation of vocational studies (AEP).

  • Position yourself in relation to the profession and training - 30 hours

  • Communicate in the workplace - 45 hours
  • Process information and observations relating to animals - 75 hours
  • Process information on standard operating procedures - 45 hours
  • Perform related activities storage and preparation of goods - 30 hours
  • Maintain facilities and equipment - 30 hours
  • Feed animals - 30 hours
  • Handle animals - 45 hours
  • Perform activities relating to animal hygiene - 45 hours
