This 3 hour workshop provides an overview of essential skills for Animation, a brief history on the subject and the various career paths that exist within this vast creative industry.
Depending on the familiarity of those attending, this workshop can be adjusted to provide a thorough overview or detailed specifics. Generally, this workshop is focused on providing a quick introduction to the practical tools and techniques for sharing this knowledge with others.
Material & Software requirements for this workshop include: Traditional options – Pencils (any between 6B – HB), paper/sketchbook, eraser (vinyl), ruler (clear preferred but not required), coloured pencils (optional), Stop Motion Studio or a similar application for Pencil Tests.
Digital options – Animation program such as Toonboom Harmony or Opentoonz & a computer capable of running that software. Students should be familiar with these programs if they will be utilizing them.
