ANM Or Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery

ANM or Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery is a short two year course in nursing. Two types of ANM nursing is there one is under Indian Nursing council, course duration 2 years and other institutes, colleges, society and central government has 6 months, 12 months and 18 months ANM course 6 months internship. It is a short term and job oriented course. If you want to apply the govt. job then you must do ANM under INC recognized colleges because state nursing council registration is compulsory for any Govt. job. 

For ANM Nursing course minimum eligibility is  Class 10 pass and 10+2 from the arts, commerce, or science stream. The student must have at least 40% marks in the 10+2 examination and a minimum of 17 Years of age.

Male or Female both types of aspirants can apply for this course. West Bengal ANM Nursing admission is based on the WBJEE entrance exam rank and counseling process and other states have a direct admission procedure and own entrance test merit list basis.

ANM nurses are basically prepared for maternity care and providing care for newborns and their mothers during pre and post-pregnancy in different Hospitals and Nursing Homes. Further, they will come to know about various aspects of medical care that will help in treating families and society at a bigger level.

ANM course gives you probabilities to be a part of the medical team and assist under some well-known doctors. ANM nurses have to much work loads various hospitals in Kolkata. They have work under GNM, B.Sc Nursing. ANM nurse required very patience and alertness.
