The St. John’s Status of Women Council/Women’s Centre envisions equality and justice for all.
Our Mission
The St. John’s Status of Women Council/Women’s Centre is a feminist organization that since 1972 is continually working to achieve equality and justice through political activism, community collaboration and the creation of a safe and inclusive space for all women and gender-diverse people in the St. John’s area.
We carry out our mission through the following activities:
This training program includes academic and practical hands-on approaches to hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
This workshop teaches participants how to help someone who is showing signs of a mental health problem or is experiencing a mental health crisis.
The course will build on existing skills while increasing awareness of Indigenous healing and wellness strategies, truth and reconciliation, and cultural resurgence.
The CBT workshop is a two part workshop reviewing some of the primary strategies used in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT, to treat mental health challenges.
Mindfulness training focuses on bringing the attention fully to the body, feeling states and thought patterns.
