Course Details

The global media has focused business owners and managers on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the current and future business model; highlighting the many concerns expressed concerning its introduction and the need for Governments to act to regulate the development and limit its use in certain areas of activity. Business owners need to understand the reality and why concerns are voiced in order to maximise the benefits and mitigate the downsides.

This course will take attendees through a basic understanding of AI; how to evaluate the benefits by examining the processes of previous industrial developments; identify the cost vs benefits associated with AI deployment and finally address the perceived and actual downsides to its use in a business setting. The learning process will involve tutorials, case studies and discussion groups as well as workshops.

  • Understand the ethical considerations, biases, and potential societal impacts of AI.
  • Develop a strong synergy between AI and humans
  • Enable attendees feel comfortable when encountering and/or utilising AI in a business setting

  • • Study the impact of the industrial revolution, mechanization and the internet on working practices and the lessons to be learnt
  • • Creation of learning log that enables attendees implement AI into their business model smoothly
  • Module 4: Risk Assessment (Tutorial and Discussion Groups, Workshop)
  • • Identify how to asses and mitigate risks associated with AI in the modern business model
  • • Creation of a risk register for attendees’ business model
  • Module 5: Business Evaluation (Tutorial, Discussion Groups)
  • • Creating a business derived solution that meets the customer base needs
