The Asbestos Awareness course provides participants with knowledge to assist in addressing asbestos issues in the workplace.
It is difficult to know if a material contains asbestos just by looking at it. Our asbestos awareness training is essential for any person, working in an environment where asbestos containing materials may be present. Our course is delivered face to face, by our experienced asbestos assessors. Our clients include builders, government, councils, water, gas and power utilities.
Course Outline:
The course content contains but is not limited to the following components:
Definitions and likely sources of asbestos.
Identifying materials likely to contain asbestos.
Asbestos health effects after exposures.
Asbestos legislation.
Using asbestos registers.
Emergency response such as vandalism and dumping.
Safety requirements when working with asbestos.

The program utilises Electronic Gas Detectors (Microclip X3 Multi Gas Detectors) to identify toxins or low oxygenated environments.

This course provides all the necessary skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type Elevating platform EWP ticket where the boom’s length is 11 meters or more, following all relevant legislative requirements.
Breathing Apparatus course is offered by Safety Training Professionals.
This qualification applies to individuals working in (or wanting to secure) a work health and safety (WHS) role. It has been designed to give you specialised skills and knowledge in areas including assisting with responding to incidents, contribution to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation
