About Wood Training
The mantra of our business “We Train To Save Lives” is simple, but that’s exactly what we do. M&O Pacific Limited trading as Wood Training is recognised as New Zealand’s pre-eminent provider of safety training and consultative services to the Oil & Gas, Energy, Food Processing, Transport, Construction, Engineering & Manufacturing, Marine & Aviation and Government.
Our services through these and other industry sectors continue to grow and develop, as we provide technical training and expertise across a wide range of safety courses, delivered both face-to-face and on-line. We passionately believe that everybody has the right to be safe.
This course is for Health and Safety representatives, Team Leaders, Supervisors and first line Managers. The course enhances the knowledge and skills gained during Stage 1, and develop the personal and written skills required to conduct a formal incident/accident Investigation.
This course teaches how to work safely to erect non-notifiable and prefabricated frame scaffolding up to five metres in height and does not require a Certificate of Competence or notification to WorkSafe NZ. It is ideal for residential construction scaffold requirements.
Having operators formally trained means the Employer complies with WorkSafe NZ Health and Safety (OSH) requirements for the workplace and NZ Transport Agency requirements. The course consists of theory and practical assessments for a Forklift.
People credited with this unit standard are able to identify: criteria where the Safety Observer is required to control, monitor and maintain safety for activity; hazardous environments and activities requiring safety observer control.
Trainees will be able to establish planned and safe entry and conduct confined space rescues featuring various scenarios.Â
