Course Details

Asbestos is a highly toxic material that is carconogenic. It is commonly found in buildings, homes and other locations right across Australia.

There is an extensive range of materials that contain asbestos; even though Australia totally banned it in 2003. Internationally there are estimated to be over 100,000 deaths per year from asbestos exposure.

In Australia approximately 600 deaths a year occur from mesothelioma with an additional 125 asbestosis-related deaths. Further asbestos-related deaths occur from lung cancer. These are hard to seperate in statistics, as lung cancer is common with other causes.

Our Trainers are Asbestos Industry Training Specialists.  We provide knowledge and skills to help you identify, risk assess, plan and manage asbestos in your workplace.

This knowledge can then be applied to risk assess your workplace and prevent exposure to Asbestos. Courses can be delivered at your workplace or our specialist Training Centre.
