This three day program is designed to provide knowledge and practical skills for the safe removal of friable asbestos containing material (ACM).
Overview
This three day program is designed to provide knowledge and practical skills for the safe removal of friable asbestos containing material (ACM).
It covers part 4.3 of the WHS/OHS regulations
and meets the needs of removal personnel and supervisors to competently remove friable ACM.
The aim of this training is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to enable participants to work under licence and regulatory conditions to safely remove ACM in workplaces.
Consistent with the relevant class conditions participants will learn about asbestos, regulations, codes, removal control plans, removal techniques, notifications, decontamination, transport and disposal.
Note: This training does not provide a licence to remove asbestos. A licence to remove asbestos can only be issued by the relevant OHS/WHS Authority with jurisdiction over the workplace where the removal is to be conducted (e.g. Worksafe).
