The course examines the legislation, control strategies and the effects of exposure to asbestos in the workplace. On completion of our asbestos management training, delegates will understand the legal requirements of the Asbestos Regulations and much more.
When it comes to asbestos management, the hazards of working with asbestos are generally recognised and controlled. However, the long-term, chronic or indeed some of the short-term or acute effects of asbestos exposure remain a major problem within our working environment. It is only now that some of the devastating effects of long-term exposures to asbestos: serious ill health or death, are being felt. The effects on the individual, the costs to the employer and the country are becoming far higher than other safety-related costs.
