In our Division, Sign Language Interpreters communicate with and interpret for deaf and hard of hearing students that sign using either American Sign Language or Signed Exact English.
Sign language interpreters help students access their learning by interpreting the language heard into language seen. In many countries around the world there are different types of sign languages unique to that country and the deaf community.
Sign Languages are full and complete languages just like English, Spanish or French. In our Division, Sign Language Interpreters communicate with and interpret for deaf and hard of hearing students that sign using either American Sign Language or Signed Exact English.
