Workshop Overview

This one-day virtual workshop is designed for those who want to feel more confident and more assertive, without having to be aggressive in the workplace and provides delegates with a personal toolkit to enable them to handle the work situations they find most challenging.

Whatever your role you will at times face situations where you feel the need to be more assertive. But the situation, or the people involved, cause you to feel more stress and emotion than you would like.

You might end up backing away, staying silent or communicating in an aggressive manner, none of which help you to ask for, and get, what you originally wanted.

Beyond the workplace, assertiveness is an essential skill in being able to speak up when you need to, address problems in a reasonable way, ask for what you want and to be able to say no to things you don’t want.

This workshop will:

  • help you to understand the barriers to being assertive

  • help you to understand the benefits of being more assertive
