This micro-credential requires learners to demonstrate competence in Cloud DevOps Engineering as they play a vital role connecting Cloud development and operations. DevOps Engineers provide automation solutions, develop Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code, and test applications to optimize the process of transitioning a Cloud application from development to operations.
A Cloud DevOps Specialist oversees code releases and deployments, having the required expertise to optimize these processes using various automation tools for developing CI/CD pipelines. Working with software developers, system operators (SysOps), and other production IT staff, DevOps Specialists safely deliver software into production pipelines. To prepare for this role, learners will automate build processes for API, create a deployment pipeline, and implement notifications for CI/CD.
